Quick color test for a comic set in Asia that I'm working on. I needed to find out if a langur was small enough to ride on an Asian golden cat (ugh, I have a page of equations getting the weight and proportions down for these guys), what species the langur should be, and what color. 1. and 3. are golden langurs (which can have creepy little monkey faces...ick!), and 2. is a Nilgiri langur. Much as I love the Nilgiris, I chose the creamy, cottony golden langur (1.). I already have another use for the Nilgiri langurs in the comic though, so I'll get to draw them again.
 None of these designs, markings, or colors are final, I just needed to see which langur would work best for this particular character. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
